Scottish Journal of Healthcare Chaplaincy The Scottish Journal of Healthcare Chaplaincy aims to assist healthcare chaplains and care workers as they strive to provide effective spiritual, religious and pastoral care within the contemporary healthcare setting. The Journal provides a multi-disciplinary forum for the discussion of a wide range of issues pertaining to healthcare and healthcare chaplaincy in all of its diverse forms. It focuses on the practice of chaplaincy in healthcare within Scotland and beyond, seeking to bring together practitioner and academics, ordained and lay people, in a way which will enable chaplains and carers to have invaluable access to new and innovative thinking and practice. As well as being multi-disciplinary, the Journal also aims to explore inter-cultural and inter-religious issues that are an important focus for chaplaincy and healthcare within contemporary Britain. The Editorial Board is currently considering papers for Volume 8 (2005). We are interested in a variety of articles including: research based articles, papers from academic study, conference presentations, and more gen-eral papers from all aspects of healthcare. The Editors are keen to support authors who may be new to writing papers, or are unsure of the process and format of writing. We will be pleased to discuss your ideas prior to submission, offer advice, and can offer con-structive criticism on a first draft.
